What is TakeGarageBookings?
A website and booking system built for UK garages. You get a website in your garage's own name and colours, customers can book MOTs, services and repairs online, and you manage everything from a simple admin panel.
Do you set it all up for me?
Yes. We build your website, add your services, opening hours, logo and photos, connect your domain and launch it. After that you can leave it with us, or update things yourself from your admin panel. It is your choice.
Can I update the website myself?
Yes. Your admin panel lets you change text, photos, services, prices and opening hours, preview changes before they go live, and publish when you are happy. If you would rather not, we can do it for you.
Do I need my own domain?
No. If you already have one we can use it; if not, we can help you choose and register one in your garage's name.
How do customers book?
They choose one or more services, enter their registration (we can look up the vehicle for them), and pick a time that fits your opening hours, team and days off. You see the booking straight away in your admin panel.
Can it send MOT reminders?
Yes. MOT reminders help bring customers back each year, sent from your garage's own email address.
Who receives booking payments?
You do. Taking a deposit or full payment online is optional, and payments go straight into your own Stripe account.
Whose name is on the emails?
Yours. Customer emails are sent from your garage's own email account, with your name and branding.
Can my staff use the admin panel?
Yes. Invite staff with their own logins and keep owner-only settings to yourself.
What is the Care Package?
After we build and launch your website, the Care Package keeps everything running: hosting, your domain, security and backups, updates and new features, online booking, reminders, invoicing and support. See the Care Package page for everything included.
Do I own my website?
You own your domain, your text and photos, and your customer, booking and invoice data, which you can export at any time. The website runs on the TakeGarageBookings platform, in the same way a Wix or Shopify site runs on theirs, and stays live while your Care Package is active.
I already have hosting. Can I use it?
You will not need it for this website: hosting is included in your Care Package, because the site runs on our booking platform rather than as files on a server. You keep your own domain and we connect it for you.
